I really don't like dubstep, this is very well done, smooth and overall enjoyable to listen to! Good job! :)

Jezzel responds:

Thank you!:)

Perfection. :)

Mmm Nerdcore. Havn't heard this Genre in a long time. Good work! :)

Oh, Exploitable. >:)

Ah! Really clippy! Was it meant to come out like this?

Synami responds:

Sure was! I often like to do these noisier outings when I feel particularly bored.

I am no expert at halfstep-dubstep but atmosphere-wise this is a pretty unique track. I feel the guitarpluck may have needed a bit more reverb or echo. Bass is on point and kinda crunchy. I really would have liked more wobble to keep it interesting but I guess half-step doesn't allow for it. Great work! :)

This is a interesting DnB track that is unlike anything I have heard before. It is very glitchy and as you yourself pointed out- very clippy. What could be done is adjusting each sound (except the drums) to about 9db in its own channel rack (under 0), then adjust as needed to get what you want to hear for each instrument without going over the 0. Parametric filters may also help in this aspect to supress noise you don't want and brng out noise you do, making room for all the other noises. Good job on this! :)

thank you so much for the feedback and tips! appreciate it :)

I don't have a lot of expertise in regards to Chipstep, but your track does sound similar to modern Hardstyle and euro Handsup trance. You have rolling bass coming in from the track and start off a very pleasant melody- with claps/snare coming in on queue. There is a missed opportunity to change up the track before the kicks, and a small space to allow for anticipation- but the repeating note before the kick saves it. About 1:47 you have an off-beat kick to make it feel like we should go into a off-beat as some hardstyle tracks, but then we go back to the normal beat. Finishing smartly on some sequence notes and percussion.

Overall, it was great to listen to! Good job! :)

Positron832 responds:

Thanks for the great review! Chiptune isn't my expertise either but it was nice to learn how the percussion can be made. I'd love to remake this track in a more modern style in the future

Very atmospheric. Great job! :)

Quarl responds:

Thank you Yendor!

I have worn many hats in my life, but I can't just be satisfied with just one. Most things in life are worth the struggle, and no one will help me or hold my hand, so I (mostly) do it all. Will fight engineers and users for change. (ง'̀-'́)ง
