I have worn many hats in my life, but I can't just be satisfied with just one. Most things in life are worth the struggle, and no one will help me or hold my hand, so I (mostly) do it all. Will fight engineers and users for change. (ง'̀-'́)ง

i may or may not have a strongly negative opinion about Adobe,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

but man, that really sucks. i gotta thank @Wandaboy for telling me about the archive a while ago, managed to get a copy of CS4 with it

Adobe (derogatory)

Adobe and the tech industry in general doesn't understand that subscription costs encourage piracy because it makes their software inaccessible to those who can't afford to pay monthly in the long term, especially when the prices start to hyke up. I hope in the future someone makes a spiritual successor to flash and make it open source.

Well, tbf, $700 for CS4 was Very out of reach to someone like me back in 2007.

This is just awful.

ffffffffffffffffffffffuck

I really, really HATE Adobe's new subscription bullshit and how they force you into it. I'd MUCH rather make a one-time $500 purchase for a program that I get to keep forever rather than deal with nonsensical subscription monopolies.

oh well. At least I managed to get a copy of CS6 before the shutdown....

That sucks, it's an unfortunate circumstance. :( Though now I feel I made a good call by snagging a boxed copy of Macromedia 8 off of Ebay for cheap some years back.

This is a dick move from Adobe!

@YendorNG well, I guess there is a way to fuck one time payments up

@CIGG and hopefully make a web port for it

if anyone has copies of different flash softwares, they should make a google drive soon. I have cs4,cs5, and mac8 but Idk how to store those files into drive itself sadly

How could they?

Fortunately, you can still find most versions of Flash in the Internet Archive for now. Grab them now, lest they be removed. Do your own backups. Fuck the police.

If adobe made older versions of flash available for the user, (under affordable price, which doesn't really exist anymore) none of this would really happened.

That sucks. Whether Adobe likes it or not, Flash is a part of their history and it feels wrong to me that they're suppressing it like this even just in an attempt to get more Creative Cloud subscriptions. Reasons why abandonware *should* automatically become part of the public domain.
I assume Flash archive torrents are available?

And this is why it's impossible to get adobe animate free nowadays.

FUCK YOU ADOBE!!!!

damn that sucks
although, there’s a sub reddit called genp which includes cracks to almost every adobe cc product, including animate
https://www.reddit.com/r/GenP/wiki/patchmethods/

there’s two methods to get cracks the genp way
1. https://shorturl.at/oyzW3 (safe, but time consuming)
2. https://shorturl.at/cdnoQ (simple to do, but not “safest to an extent”)

I’m so fucking done with their shit. I’m currently using Adobe products for college, which thankfully I don’t have to pay a subscription because the school is paying for it, and students can use it for free, but it’s thanks to Adobe and their shitty, buggy, overpriced, useless products, I had to get a new computer from a PC to a Mac, because they’ve been killing my PC laptop for almost a fucking decade. Plus, it’s horrible timing that I’m hearing this news because I won’t be able to redownload Flash 8 to my Mac, unless if the PC download I have is compatible to my Mac. But yeah, me being internally fucking outraged by this is an understatement, but strangely, I’m not even surprised that they’ve made this dick move because I’m so fucking numb with Adobe’s bullshit. I’m sorry that you have to deal with this. Everyone deserves affordable and user-friendly software, not shitty, unusable, subscription-based software that people have to pay their entire fucking life insurance for. Please, how can we help and support from this?

@NightfallGloam not to mention internet history. Most of the sites we use wouldn't have existed if flash didn't help power their services.
